Welcome to The Al-Ghazali Centre
The centre delivers a resource that aims at developing children and young people’s social and learning abilities within a safe environment as well as increasing community participation and improving the quality of life.
Our centre is a welcoming place for both Muslims and non-Muslims. We focus on teaching about and respecting different cultures, faiths and heritages. Whether you’re here to learn, meet new people, or help out, you’re part of making our community stronger and more united.
Our Building
History
The Al-Ghazali Centre, established in 2002, is housed in a historic former church building that has been refurbished to support its mission of serving the local community. While the centre has been a vital hub for activities and services, the current facilities face challenges with limited space and accessibility. Plans are in motion to enhance accessibility, modernize existing facilities, and make better use of the building’s potential to meet the growing needs of the community.
The future vision for the centre includes a modern, multi-functional space offering services like a youth club, health facilities, and areas for local organisations. These upgrades aim to foster community cohesion, enhance inclusion, and create a welcoming space for all.
